Description

Floor Coatings Resin Flake Chips are decorative resin flakes for floor coatings, commonly used in epoxy resin floor systems. These resin flakes are composed of pigments, resins, fillers and additives, with random shapes and a variety of color options. Before the epoxy coating is cured, these color flakes are sprinkled on its surface to form a seamless and textured floor effect. This design not only enhances the aesthetics of the floor, but also provides anti-slip function. The size, color and shape of the resin flakes can be customized according to specific needs to meet different design and functional requirements.

Features

High structural stability
Floor Coatings Resin Flake Chips are made of a mixture of polymer resin, mica, natural minerals or additives, and are processed by high-temperature pressing, shearing and dyeing to form a sheet material with a certain thickness and structural strength. Its average thickness is between 0.1mm and 0.5mm, and the size range is generally 1mm to 10mm. The particle size can be adjusted according to construction requirements. When this type of sheet is used in combination with floor coatings (such as epoxy, polyurethane, polyurea, etc.), it can form a multi-layer composite structure, and achieve a stable combination between the sheet and the base surface through mechanical interlocking and chemical bonding with the coating resin. During the coating curing process, the resin sheet is embedded and coated to form a multi-point dispersed support structure, which improves the compression and impact resistance of the entire floor system. According to the wear test results of the ASTM D4060 standard, the Taber abrasion value of the epoxy floor with added resin sheets can be controlled below 50mg (1000g load, 1000 revolutions), which is lower than the ordinary coating system without added sheets. This structural reinforcement mechanism can effectively extend the service life of the floor system in high-frequency use scenarios and reduce the shedding and powdering problems of the surface coating.

Controllable surface roughening
The resin sheet has a natural irregular edge structure. When spread in proportion and cured by a transparent topcoat, the micro-convex surface formed can effectively increase the friction coefficient of the floor. By controlling the spread ratio, sheet size, sheet density and topcoat thickness, the friction coefficient can be adjusted from 0.5 to 0.8, which meets the ANSI/NFSI B101.3 floor anti-slip safety standard and is suitable for places with high anti-slip levels. In addition, if a porous structure resin sheet is selected, the coating's ability to disperse liquids can be further improved, reducing the probability of slipping risks in oily and slippery environments. This type of sheet is used with matte or anti-slip topcoats (such as polyurea sand surface sealers) to provide necessary safety function support in commercial kitchens, medical areas, garage ramps and other spaces.

Strong chemical stability
After thermosetting treatment, the resin sheet body has a highly closed molecular structure and good acid, alkali and solvent resistance. When combined with chemical-resistant epoxy or polyurethane coatings, the resulting overall floor system can meet chemical resistance standards such as DIN EN ISO 2812. In an acidic and alkaline environment with a pH range of 3 to 11, the resin sheet itself will not deform, discolor or delaminate, and the surface performance is stable. In addition, its internal structure does not contain hygroscopic polymers, and will not cause dimensional changes or performance degradation due to fluctuations in environmental humidity. The closed topcoat material used in conjunction can also form an overall chemical barrier for the ground, improving the system's corrosion resistance to substances such as gasoline, engine oil, alcohol, and organic solvents.

Strong compatibility

Floor Coatings Resin Flake Chips are compatible with a variety of mainstream floor coating systems, including but not limited to solvent-based epoxy, 100% solid polyurethane, polyurea quick-drying system, etc., and have good system integration. Its particle structure is lightweight and does not absorb water, allowing for a variety of construction methods such as dry spreading, wet spreading, and premixing, and flexible adaptation to different construction processes. In the conventional construction process, the resin sheet spreading stage can be carried out when the base coat is not completely cured, so as to achieve the physical embedding of the sheet into the substrate, and then cover it as a whole with a transparent midcoat or a closed topcoat. This process does not require additional heating or compaction treatment, and has high construction efficiency. The average daily coating area can be 300~500㎡, which can effectively control the construction cycle in commercial projects. In addition, the resin sheet has relatively loose requirements on the flatness of the base layer, and can be directly applied on the basis of the cement leveling layer, epoxy mortar layer or diamond abrasive wear-resistant layer. It has a wide range of base adaptability and helps to reduce the cost of base treatment.
